Attention: Parents of North Primary Kindergarten Students

North Primary Kindergarten Open House Information

There was an error in the printing of the Kindergarten orientation letters in which the schedule for orientation was not placed on the reverse side of the letter. Please use the schedule listed here:

Tuesday, August 27, 2019 - 9:00 am To 10:30 am


Introduction - Parents and students meet with teacher for introduction.


Parent Meeting - Parents report to the gymnasium for short meeting with:

Mr. Kromko - Principal
Mrs. Genello - Head Teacher
Mrs. Carmody & Mrs. Schmidt - School Counselors
Mrs. Theobald - Nurse


Parents return to the classroom - Teachers will give parents a brief overview of curriculum and classroom procedures.


School Tour - Parents remain in the classroom. Students taken for a tour of the school with teacher assistants. Students will visit: Flag, Gym, Computer Room, Art/Music Rooms, Cafeteria, Playground, Library, Office, Nurse.


Bus Ride - The teacher assistants will escort the students to the bus boarding area in the front of the school. The students will take a short ride and return to the bus drop off area in the back of the school. Parents are not to ride the bus.


Conclusion of Orientation - Parents meet students in the back of the school when they return from the bus ride. Staff will supervise students until parents arrive.

The cafeteria staff will scan finger images for student lunch accounts on the first day of school.

Wallenpaupack North Primary's 2nd Graders hosted their first ever Day with Community Workers on April 16th, 2019.

The event culminates eight weeks of learning about communities and the jobs people have in them. Students have been researching community workers, including the tools and equipment they use, character traits, education and jobs that are done in these positions.

Guest speakers included:

Shane Gross - Farmer
Justin Sollenne - Musician
Lisa Theobald - Nurse
Hugh Trivelpiece - Excavator
Robert Urban - State Trooper

Students had a great day learning about each speaker and seeing some of the tools and equipment that help them do their job.

Let us help make celebrating your child's birthday at school easier. Order a Classroom Birthday Basket from the Cafeteria and we'll take care of everything. Birthday treats will be delivered to your child's classroom on the date you specify (orders must be placed at least 2 weeks in advance). Please click here for more information and to fill in and print out an order form. This program is for grades K - 5 only.

Please include: your name, the student's name, the date and the reason for absence. If you have children in more than one building, each building must be contacted. For more information, please see Parent/Student Handbook.

Important - Please be aware that the official opening of school is 7:50 am with classes starting at 8:10 am. If you choose to drive your child to school, please try to drop your child off NO EARLIER than 7:50 am. Also, please be aware that children arriving after 8:00 am are marked tardy. Please accompany your student into the building, to sign him/her in, if arriving after 8:00 am.
