Dear Parents and Students:

 
Welcome to Wallenpaupack Area High School.  We are a comprehensive high school of approximately 1,400 students in grades 9 through 12.  Wallenpaupack Area High School has been acknowledged as an outstanding educational institution with national and statewide recognition.  We are proud of our academic programs and the numerous co-curricular opportunities offered to our students.

As we strive to provide opportunities for students to reach their academic potential, we emphasize the education of the whole person.  With this in mind, we encourage all students to be involved in school activities beyond the school day.  It is our experience that students who are involved in clubs or athletics develop positive relationships with their peers, coaches, and teachers, and have an overall better attitude toward schooling.  We also encourage parents to stay involved with your son or daughter's education and hope that the district web site supports a strong home-school relationship.

With the unified efforts of the school, family and community, we will continue to work to implement the requirements of the No Child Left Behind Act of 2001 and meet the academic goals set forth by the Pennsylvania System of School Assessment (PSSA).
