After-School Programs for November, 2023

Dear Parents/Guardians,

In recognition of the need for additional time for children to learn and interact with classmates, teachers, coaches, and the community, the Federal Government has allocated funding for schools to operate fall after-school programs during the month of November 2023. The purpose of these programs is to provide additional opportunities for students to engage in social and academic activities. There are no fees associated with these programs; they will be free to all students. Sign-ups are available through submitting the paper permission slip (sent home with all children) or online using this link.

WNIS 3-5 Fall 2023 Program

  • The first week of the program will run Monday through Thursday on November 6 - 9, 2023. The second week of the program will run Tuesday through Friday on November 14 - 17, 2023. Programming is from the time school dismisses until approximately 5:20 pm.

  • Student transportation (express, not door to door) will be available for all students. Express routes have been sent home with all children.

**If NOT using district provided transportation, parents who plan to pick up their children from program should arrive between 5:00 and 5:10 p.m. and park in the middle and lower parking lots of the North Intermediate School. Parents should remain outside of the school building and await dismissal from programming. Students will be escorted to their parents by school staff.

  • Programs will consist of a mix of games, crafts, and activities with academic themes.

  • A snack will be provided at no cost.

A permission form must be completed by the parent(s) of each child wishing to participate in the fall after-school programs. Please complete a paper permission slip (sent home with all children) or sign up online using this link. Registration must be received by Wednesday, October 18, 2023.

Sincerely,

Amanda Cykosky
Principal
